Leather Finish: Professional Polyurethane Leather Lacquer
Leather Finish is a high-performance, water-based polyurethane topcoat designed to provide extreme durability and long-lasting protection for your leather goods. This lacquer is completely safe, non-flammable, and engineered to withstand heavy use while maintaining the leather's natural softness and authentic appearance.
Why Choose Our Polyurethane Finish?
-
🛡️ Unmatched Durability: Specifically formulated to be highly resistant to scratches, scuffs, and daily wear. It locks in the color and protects it for years to come.
-
💧 Water-Based Formula: Safe for indoor use, non-toxic, and non-flammable with no harsh chemical odors.
-
🍃 Natural Feel: Unlike mass-market coatings, our product avoids the "plastic" look and feel. It provides a silky-smooth finish that enhances the original leather texture.
-
🏎️ Superior Rub Fastness: Outperforms standard finishes in both wet and dry rub resistance tests—critically important for steering wheels and high-traffic seating.
Choose Your Ideal Gloss Level
Tailor the final look to your specific style with five distinct gloss options:
-
Gloss: For high shine and a mirror-like effect.
-
Semi-Gloss: For a subtle, moderate luster.
-
Satin: The most popular choice for a modern, balanced look.
-
Semi-Matte: For a low-sheen, understated finish.
-
Matte: For a completely natural, "invisible" protective layer.
Applications
Leather Finish is the essential final step after any leather dyeing or repair project:
-
Automotive Interiors: Perfect for high-wear areas like steering wheels, gear shifts, and driver’s seats.
-
Furniture: Seals the color on sofas and armchairs, protecting them from stains and abrasion.
-
Antique Restoration: Ideal for crafters and restorers working with antiqued or hand-finished leathers.
Professional Enhancement with Crosslinker Eco
For areas subject to extreme stress (steering wheels, driver’s seats, or commercial furniture), we recommend adding Crosslinker Eco to the lacquer. This additive triggers a chemical reaction that makes the protective layer significantly more resistant to chemicals, sweat, grease, and mechanical friction.
Mixing & Application Table
| Component | Ratio | Purpose |
| Leather Finish | 8 Parts (e.g., 100ml) | Primary protective topcoat. |
| Crosslinker Eco | 1 Part (e.g., 12.5ml) | Chemical hardening for maximum strength. |
| Working Time | 3 to 8 Hours | The mixture must be used within this interval (Pot Life). |
📋 Mixing Protocol (Professional Standards):
-
Measure: Use a measuring cup or electronic scale for an exact 1:8 ratio.
-
Mix: Add Crosslinker Eco to the Finish and shake vigorously for at least 2 minutes.
-
Activate: Let the mixture sit for 10–15 minutes before use. This allows the chemical reaction to begin and air bubbles to dissipate.
-
Apply: Apply in thin layers. The Crosslinker activates fully during the drying process. For best results and to speed up drying, lightly warm the surface with a hairdryer after application.
💡 Expert Tips:
-
Don’t mix everything at once: Because the mixture has a limited "pot life," only mix what you need for the current project.
-
Clean tools immediately: Wash sponges or spray equipment with warm water right after use. Once the lacquer with Crosslinker dries, it becomes incredibly difficult to remove.
-
Why "Eco"?: Our Crosslinker is water-based and isocyanate-free, making it safe for professional results even in a home environment.
