Professional Steering Wheel Leather Restoration Kit
Restore the factory look and feel of your steering wheel with the professional system from Furniture Clinic. This kit isn’t just a quick fix—it’s a complete technological line used by leading restorers and luxury automotive manufacturers in the UK.
Why is this the ultimate solution for your vehicle?
-
Factory-Grade Technology: Our water-based dyes and lacquers use the same technology employed in original automotive leather production.
-
A Complete System: This is a finished restoration line, covering preparation, strengthening, coloring, and long-term sealing.
-
Exceptional Durability: The result is a wear-resistant finish tested to the highest British and European standards.
-
Safe & Comfortable: Odorless, non-flammable, and perfectly safe for DIY use at home.
The Process: Step-by-Step
(Based on expert advice from our video training)
-
Deep Cleaning: The first and most vital step. Use Leather Ultra Clean to remove accumulated grime and oils that could prevent the new color from adhering.
-
Removing the Old Finish: Using Leather Prep and an abrasive sponge, remove the worn factory lacquer and dye. This opens the leather's pores for perfect adhesion.
-
Degreasing: Apply Leather Degreaser (gel formula) to "draw out" deeply ingrained hand oils from the leather.
-
Strengthening (Leather Binder): Apply Leather Binder, which penetrates deep to tighten loose leather fibers, creating a solid foundation for sanding and coloring.
-
Coloring: Apply the specialized Leather Colourant in thin layers. It doesn't just sit on top; it bonds with the material, preserving its natural softness and texture.
-
Sealing (Leather Finish): The final layer of Leather Finish defines the gloss level and ensures the wheel remains "like new" for years without peeling or staining.
