🛠️ The 3-Step Success Protocol (Instructions):
Step 1: Preparation (The Foundation)
Wood must be porous to "drink" the color.
-
New Wood: Lightly sand with P100 grit to open the pores.
-
Old Wood: Remove old paint or varnish completely. If previously oiled, clean with a degreaser. Finish with P100 sanding.
Step 2: Application
-
Test: Shake well and test on a hidden area.
-
Apply: Use a bristle brush (best for rough exterior wood) or a lint-free cloth. Apply generously in the direction of the grain.
-
Wipe: Let it soak for 1 minute, then wipe away the excess with a clean cloth.
-
Depth: For a darker tone, apply a second coat after 10 minutes.
Step 3: The Mandatory Shield (Sealing)
⚠️ IMPORTANT: A stain provides color, not structural protection. To prevent the wood from drying out and cracking under UV rays, you must seal it. We recommend our Teak Oil or a specialized exterior varnish once the stain is dry.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Can I use this exterior stain indoors?
A: Absolutely! If you’ve fallen in love with a specific exterior shade, it is perfectly safe, non-toxic, and low-odor for indoor furniture.
Q: Is it suitable for Teak furniture?
A: Yes, it works brilliantly on Teak. Just remember to finish the job with our Teak Oil to lock in the color and add moisture resistance.
Q: Do you have a "clear" version of this stain?
A: Stains are designed to add color. If you want a completely transparent finish that protects and nourishes without changing the look, go straight to our Teak Oil.
